This Game About Mailman Raccoon Has Been Postponed Until 2026
TANUKI: Pon's Summer's developers will continue their work on the project.
Denkiworks, the developers of TANUKI: Pon's Summer, announced that the game's release window has been moved to 2026, and the precise date will be specified later. The team plans to spend more time further polishing the game.
The creators also outlined new features that they had been working on. The novelties include an improved navigation system, with player-placed tags and minimaps; mission improvements, implying that you can now choose destination markers and the order in which you accept missions; more activities for a raccoon protagonist, Pon, including important jobs and engrossing hobbies; and a new town area, where you can explore an entire island located across the bay.

TANUKI: Pon's Summer is an open-world life sim, in which you play as an adorable and a bit lazy raccoon named Pon taking a part-time job at the Post Office, as he works to restore the shrine before summer ends.
