Will SPINE become the next John Wick?
If you like John Wick and John Woo's movies, you'll hopefully be glad to hear that the upcoming gun fu action game SPINE will get a live-action feature film adaptation. The crazy part is that the game attracted most of the players' attention just a month or two ago and it doesn't even have a release date but a movie deal is already sealed for the developers from Nekki.
The live-action will be done in collaboration with Story Kitchen, the studio founded by the co-producer of the Sonic film Dmitri Johnson and the John Wick writer Derek Kolstad in 2022.
Story Kitchen has a lot of projects under its name, including adaptations of Sonic The Hedgehog, Tomb Raider, Sifu, It Takes Two, Disco Elysium, Life Is Strange, DREDGE, and many more. With such a varied list of games, it's interesting to see what it can offer to SPINE.

SPINE is a cinematic shooter that allows you to enhance your skills with augmentations. You play as Redline, a rebellious street artist in a cyberpunk city with a combat AI companion, Spine, an implant with its own mind.

"Ever wondered what it's like to be the hero of an action movie? To find yourself in the epicenter of the action, kicking the gun out of your opponent's hand, or parrying a bullet with your trusty katana?"
