This Indie Survival Horror Where You Fight Terrifying Dinosaurs Gets a New Trailer

Solo developer LogDev brings amazing updates from PALEOPHAGE.

Solo developer LogDev is working on a survival horror game inspired by Resident Evil and Dino Crisis. They have released a new mini trailer recently, giving us a look at the progress and updates the game has received in the past few months.

PALEOPHAGE is the project they are working on, which we talked about in September. In this game with photorealistic graphics, long-extinct, bloodthirsty dinosaurs come alive after an unfortunate science experiment. You'll need to use weapons to shoot them and solve dinosaur-themed puzzles. PALEOPHAGE features ten enemy types and six upgradable weapons to protect the characters from horrible danger effectively.

The vibe in the latest trailer is dark and threatening, as usual, making the encounter with pre-historic creatures a truly modern nightmare. Besides the new trailer, the developer also shared a series of screenshots and clips, showcasing animations and appearances that are improved based on players' feedback, various environments to enrich the experience, gameplay shots, and more:

Besides the visual updates, LogDev has talked about their plans for gameplay mechanisms and features. For example, many fans have expressed a desire for a more engaging experience when playing with friends, so the developer is considering adding a multiplayer mode in a post-launch update. It's also mentioned that the game will have "a main story and a post-game unlockable raid mode that is similar to the mercenaries."

When it comes to the release window, the developer has expressed hope for launching the game next year despite not having a solid plan yet. Besides the PC launch, the game will also be available on PS 5, while the Xbox release has not yet been decided. We highly recommend you follow the developer on X/Twitter to check out more in-game footage and stay updated.
