This Is How Playing The Witcher 4 Might Look Like

Pasquale Scionti unveiled a concept gameplay created in Unreal Engine 5.

The Witcher 4, which is expected to be the "most advanced" game of CD PROJEKT RED, will be released in 2025. In anticipation of the new installment to the beloved franchise, we can see some amazing fan projects. 3D Environment Artist and Principal Lighting/Lookdev Artist at Tornbanner Studios Pasquale Scionti showcased fantastic artwork that strikes imagination – concept gameplay of The Witcher 4 created in Unreal Engine 5.

The artist shared a video of gameplay running at 60 FPS using RTX4090. According to the artist, lighting combines HDR image dome sphere, Skylight, and Directional Light with atmosphere Volumetric Fog. For cloudy day conditions, the artist used physical-based light values.

Trees were created using the Foliage Tool inside the engine. Vegetation was placed and brushed manually, with no procedural generation. The character was created with Character Creator 4 and rigged using ALS4. Textures were converted to 2K, and all meshes were converted to Nanite using VSM and Raytrace Hardware enabled.
