This PS1-Style Game Combines Action Horror With Retro Graphics

Check out Samurai Unicorn, an upcoming indie horror game being developed by Its Got Stealth.

Today, let's take a closer look at Samurai Unicorn, an incredible action horror game with a PS1-style and cyberpunk vibes in development by the Its Got Stealth team.

Set in the sprawling megacity of Sydney3, this game puts you in the shoes of Klo Mitchells, a young detective who unwillingly becomes a host for a parasitic gauntlet. This symbiotic connection grants Klo the power to combat the growing threat spreading throughout the city's lower levels.

In Samurai Unicorn, you'll need to engage in both gunplay and melee combat, explore various VRmin-infested locations, and battle eerie monsters that react differently depending on how you choose to hunt them. "The story of Samurai Unicorn will be an engaging saga of mystery and rising action as Klo struggles against the many enemies standing in her way," commented the developer.

  • Embrace the power of the parasitic gauntlet to deliver devastating melee attacks.
  • Face off against monstrous Dream Eaters in challenging boss fights as Samurai Unicorn and acquire new abilities.
  • Explore intimately crafted hub areas and get to know the people of Sydney3.
  • Retro-styled graphics that bring low-poly models and pixel textures into the modern age.
  • Highly reactive enemies that respond differently based on where they are shot, with limb dismemberment that changes the way they can attack.
