This Streamer Plays First-Person Shooters With Her Brain

Twitch streamer Perrikaryal continues to impress us with her innovative approach to playing video games.

Back in early February, Twitch streamer known as Perrikaryal blew our minds with her innovative one-of-a-kind approach to playing video games using an electroencephalogram (EEG) device to scan her brain activity and translate it into in-game actions.

With this approach, the streamer managed to play and even beat FromSoftware's Elden Ring, with the EEG device detecting the difference between the normal and "focused" states of brain activity and responding by either attacking or healing in the game.

Recently, Perrikaryal caught our attention once again by sharing a couple of awe-inspiring VODs that demonstrate her playing first-person shooters using a similar method. Using the aforementioned EEG device, the streamer delved into games like Valorant and Halo, relying solely on her brainpower to take shots, and even managed to score some frags in both games. Though Perrikaryal's KD ratio achieved through this method may not have been exceptional, it still wasn't zero.

It's also worth mentioning that, unlike the previously mentioned Elden Ring playthrough, these experiments didn't require the use of a controller for movement. Instead, Perrikaryal utilized sensors that tracked her head movements and converted them into in-game character actions, essentially meaning that she played both shooters completely hands-free.

And here are some other games the streamer played with her brain:

Earlier, discussing her Elden Ring playthrough, the streamer explained that to make the character attack, she imagines pushing forward something heavy and for healing – something falling on top of her face, like she is pulling something toward herself.

We highly encourage you to visit Perrikaryal's Twitch and Twitter to see more of her incredible brain-powered gaming.
