This Time-Bending Adventure About a Lost Civilization Has Only One Map

Seamless gameplay in Trigger of Time.

This first-person puzzle platformer, featuring appealing painterly aesthetics, was created using one map for the whole game. Trigger of Time by Pantopie is an atmospheric short Godot-powered adventure requiring about 1.5 hours of gameplay.

The developer shared that using a single map was easier to manage and create, but the performance drop makes it hard to recommend. Later, they split the level into multiple scenes because it was hard to use the editor.

Trigger of Time follows the story of Elia, a member of a vanished expedition, who explores the ruins of a lost civilization. Time there doesn't follow the rules and stands still. You need to uncover the mystery of a lost expedition by retracing Elia's notes and the silent clues she left behind, discover why she came, what she found, and the cost she paid.

One of the key gameplay features is manipulating time, which involves slowing down or speeding up objects, while another essential mechanic involves reshaping the surroundings to solve physics-based puzzles.
