This UE5-Made Zombie Game Lets You Play as a Cute Little Puppy

Check out Project Pup, an action game created in 10 months by a duo of indie developers.

Indie Game Developers Pachesan Vaj and D.Hawj have released Project Pup, a playable action game prototype that lets you explore a zombie-filled dream world while playing as an adorable German Shepherd puppy.

As the player, you take on the role of a dreaming character, whose dream world is overrun by the gruesome undead. Your task is to escape the dream, guided by the Holy Spirit who "brings you into remembrance of the Word of God", and your cute puppy companion, shooting zombies and solving puzzles along the way.

As stated by the developers, the game was set up in 10 months using Unreal Engine 5, with Pachesan acting as the Lead Developer and D.Hawj being responsible for the game's 3D environment art and user interface. Please note that the release version of Project Pup is still a prototype, so some bugs are to be expected.

"I've always wondered what the perspective of the Animals and God towards this kind of world would be like; so we came up with this prototype," commented the creator over on Reddit. "There is always room for improvement, but as of now, we're just testing the water to see if it's worth putting in time for a full game."
