Ray Hikari has shared one more look at their upcoming game's InkStep mechanic.
Game Developer and Lighting/Cinematic Artist Ray Hikari continues working on his upcoming action-adventure game – currently without a decided title – offering one more look at its InkStep gameplay system in the latest demo.
For those unfamiliar, Ray has been developing the project since late 2024, occasionally sharing sneak peeks of its progress. While the game doesn't yet have a name or a Steam page, previous demos have confirmed it runs on Unreal Engine, revealed some of its core mechanics, and showcased a vibrant world that blends Greek and Japanese influences.
The latest demo revisits the InkStep platforming system, which lets the player navigate the world using an oversized paintbrush. By painting brushstrokes in midair, players can leap off them, effectively creating makeshift bridges between points not otherwise connected by the environment.
