This WIP Mobile Game Is a GTA-Inspired Open World Set in San Francisco
An impressive project by CJ Workshop.
Check out this open-world mobile game currently in development by CJ Workshop, inspired by the scale and freedom of the Grand Theft Auto games.
The project features a massive open-world city built from the ground up and optimized for mobile devices. It recreates a large portion of San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area at a scale comparable to GTA IV.
What makes the project particularly impressive is the level of attention to detail. The team photographed nearly every building in the areas they recreated, creating around 20,000 reference photos, which were then used to build architectural textures and assets. Every single building in the game has been modeled from scratch based on those references, resulting in a lifelike recreation of the city's look and atmosphere.

It's still early days, but if these locations are anything to go by, the final game is shaping up to be something special.
