Todd Howard Had Been Trying to Make Indiana Jones Game for Decade

Everyone who had seen the pitch wanted to play the game.

A 2021 email from Bethesda's head of publishing Pete Hines revealed that Todd Howard had been trying to make an Indiana Jones game for over a decade.

The email is part of the FTC vs. Microsoft hearing, and there Hines says that Howard "might be the biggest Indiana Jones fan on the planet." He also praises Howard's idea for the game:

"Anyone who has seen the pitch has immediately said, 'Oh my god, I have to play that game right now.'"

Now, Howard is an executive producer for an Indiana Jones game developed by MachineGames. The game will be released for PC and Xbox with an original story.
