Digital Sun, the studio behind the upcoming strategy roguelike ReVamp, has said that the game's first playtest will be hosted on Discord.

The studio shared on X/Twitter that the playtest will be conducted in a contained format on Discord, with a public user test coming later. The reason for such a decision is widespread reverse-engineering, cloning, and publishing of game builds before their official release. The studio apologized for the change of plans and shared that it hopes to open public playtest in January.

The Discord playtest will start on October 29. To join it, one needs to go to Channels and Roles on the studio's Discord and select the Playtests role, as Mallendary, Marketing Manager at Digital Sun, explained. The developers will be adding players by waves and will announce each new one.

ReVamp, set to release on March 25, 2027, is a tower defensevania where you play as Dracula, shaping your fortress room by room, commanding a monster army, and stepping into battle yourself to protect your throne from mortal invaders.

The studio's other projects include LEGO-inspired RTS Cataclismo, the Moonlighter series, and the action RPG The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story.
