Try to Appease Sultan by Doing Questionable Things to People & Animals in This Story-Rich Game

I don't remember who I heard about Sultan's Game from, but whoever it was, I'm eternally grateful because I have been consumed by it for over a month now, and hopefully I will become that guide into this mad world for you, too.

Sultan's Game lets you do unspeakable things to women, men, and animals – all to please the sultan and win an odd (and deadly) card game. But can you, really? You'll have to play to find out. 

Like many other narrative-driven games, this one might not look like much in the screenshots, but it blooms when you actually play it. 

A mysterious woman offers you a box of cards, and you have a week to resolve each. Carnality, Extravagance, Conquest, and Bloodshed all have different ways you can break them, and the stakes are as high as the card's rank.

Sacrifice your wife, help a little girl kill her father, take the sultan's favorite concubine to bed, have relations with a rhino that will shock the whole animal kingdom, become a cultist, find the true god, or install a golden attachment that will make all ladies of the night seek your company – the choices are plentiful. How will you end this vicious cycle? It's up to you.

After 60 hours, I am still very far away from collecting all the endings the game has. You will like Sultan's Game if you enjoy management simulators, flowery narrative, and hard (sometimes devastating) choices.

I can't say there's too much text, but if you absolutely hate reading, this is probably not for you. While the story is written well most of the time, it occasionally suffers from odd errors, and I've seen one untranslated status effect, but I'll forgive it all just for the enjoyment I receive from this masterpiece by Double Cross.

Naturally, Sultan's Game is meant for adults, even though it doesn't have explicit imagery (aside from a breast or two) or descriptions of carnal acts. The art team deserves extra praise for the beautiful character paintings and the overall atmosphere.

Double Cross released the game a year ago and is now working on improvements in both the PC and mobile versions. 93% of Steam players recommend Sultan's Game, so what are you waiting for?
