TT Games' LOTR Game That Never Happened

The GameHut channel shared footage that shows a canceled game based on the Lord of the Rings films.

Check out a gameplay video of a canceled AAA game from TT Games based on the Lord of the Rings films. It appears that the team was working on it in 2009 and they spent 1 million to prepare this pitch demo.

It is stated that Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro were quite happy with the idea, but Warner Bros. decided to shut it down as they didn’t want another game based on the films, but rather a game set in the universe. They even developed different styles of gameplay for different characters: stealth for the hobbit characters, fighting mechanics for Aragorn, and fancy magic tricks for Gandalf.

What do you think about the footage? Personally, it'd be awesome to have another LOTR game. Discuss the footage in the comments.
