Tutorial-maker and Houdini Artist Simon Verstraete released a new tutorial on creating a magical bridge with a formation effect using Houdini and Unreal Engine. In this tutorial, the artist shows how to take a bridge object of a scene in Unreal and open it in Houdini to create the logic for the simulation. You will learn how to prepare the bridge model, close and fracture the mesh, and turn the fractured mesh into an RBD simulation. According to the artist, this is only the first part of a 2-part tutorial dedicated to working in Houdini. In the near future, Simon plans to release the second part which will be all about the Unreal Engine workflow.
