The ball is in Threads' court now.
Elon Musk announced the Twitter ad revenue sharing program in February, and it is now finally the time to harvest. Content creators have started reporting their first earnings from ads in their replies, cumulative from when the program was unveiled.
To be eligible, you must be subscribed to Twitter Blue and have more than 5 million tweet impressions in each month for the last 3 months. The first round of payments totals $5 million, according to Musk.
Here are some numbers (thanks, TechCrunch) so you can estimate how much you can get from it. Writer Brian Krassenstein with over 750K followers received $24,305, while the creator SK with about 230K fans got $2,236. Journalist Benny Johnson (1.7 million followers) reported $9,546, and Ashley St. Clair (710K) earned $7,153 from about 840 million impressions.
The initiative comes in the middle of the Twitter vs. Meta's Threads war and, to be honest, looks very good for the blue bird users.
