Ubisoft announced that it will stop content updates for Ghost Recon Breakpoint saying that it will continue to maintain servers for the game as well as its predecessor, Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Ubisoft announced that it will stop content updates for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. In a statement published on the Ghost Recon Twitter account, the developers shared that they will stop content support for the title but noted that they will continue to maintain servers for Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands so that the shooter fans can continue to play.
The developers thanked the Ghost Recon Breakpoint community for their support and said that the feedback received will form the basis of the next games in the series.
The online tactical shooter was released in 2019 as a narrative sequel to 2017's Ghost Recon Wildlands. After its launch, the title received mixed reviews from the gaming community as the shooter was full of bugs and self-repetitions. Since the launch of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Ubisoft has released a number of updates, with Operation Motherlode mode and several items including the 20th-anniversary outfits becoming the final pieces of content released for the game.
Ubisoft has announced the end of support for Ghost Recon Breakpoint four months after the launch of experimental Quartz items – NFT skins for the shooter – that have received controversial feedback.
