It's coming in a couple of weeks.
Ubisoft has finally announced that the free-to-play multiplayer shooter XDefiant is set for release on May 21 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The "preseason" of XDefiant will kick off on the same day, spanning six weeks, followed by the launch of the first season in early July for a three-month period.
At launch, XDefiant will offer players 14 maps, five factions, five game modes, and 24 weapons. Ubisoft has committed to releasing content updates for the game every three months, with plans to introduce additional weapons, maps, events, and four new factions within the first year. The roadmap for the initial four seasons of XDefiant shows that each update will bring three new maps and three types of weapons to the game.

In 2021, the reveal of XDefiant was met with a lackluster response, prompting Ubisoft to halt development for nearly a year. Upon its return, the game sported reworked branding and a more strategic approach. Subsequent to a highly successful open beta and several delays, a stress test scheduled for April proceeded as planned, leaving Ubisoft content with the overall progress and direction of the game.
