Ubisoft Reportedly Canceled Press Previews of Assassin's Creed Shadows

Ubisoft

Ubisoft canceled press previews of Assassin's Creed Shadows at the Tokyo Game Show, which is scheduled for September 26 to 29.

The company took to Twitter and wrote that it decided to cancel its exhibit at the show due to "various circumstances," without naming the specific reason. Reportedly, it also canceled the press previews of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which were set for next week. However, the company also stated in its Twitter post: "The currently ongoing giveaway campaign to commemorate the official release will continue," which suggests that the release campaign will not be halted in spite of the cancellation of the press previews.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is scheduled for November 2024. There are suggestions that the release date might be moved due to the presentation delay. However, there's no confirmation of that.

The title has been in development since 2020, and its Lead Producer Karl Onnée recently discussed the game's production process, explaining that the team was relying on feedback and visited Japan to achieve historical accuracy.
