UE5-Based System For Displaying Thousands of Enemies on Screen at Once

Ryan James Smith shared a look at a WIP GPU-based system for displaying myriads of enemies on screen.

Tech Art Director of Research and Development at Gearbox and Founder of Overdraw.XYZ Ryan James Smith, who just recently showcased a neat custom fluid solver plug-in, continues to impress us with his incredible UE5-powered projects by unveiling yet another impressive setup.

This time, the creator demonstrated a cool custom-made system that enables him to display thousands of enemies on screen at once, set up with Niagara in Unreal Engine 5. According to the artist, the system is fully GPU-based and can "listen to CPU events as well as readback useful data for use during gameplay".

You can learn more about the system and check out more of Ryan's projects here. Also, don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platformour Reddit page, and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
