UE5 Solution For Creating Screen-Space Niagara Effects

It's easy to use, performant, flexible, and supports GPU.

As Kryen Molivane shared, this project was driven by the fact that building screen-space particles from scratch is very time-consuming. Screen Space Niagara Framework enables you to generate these effects with the same ease as standard Niagara particle systems.

According to the developer, the key benefits of this solution are performance, GPU support, and ease of use. Creating and implementing effects is straightforward, with built-in tools for efficiently spawning and managing them while optimizing performance, flexibility, and memory usage. The plug-in also handles changes in FOV, resolution, screen percentage, and other settings.

Particles can be affected by post-processing effects as well as the environment, including global illumination, lights, and shadows. Screen Space Niagara Framework supports sprite, ribbon, and mesh renderers and is compatible with all platforms, including mobile, regardless of hardware, resolution, or project setup.

The plug-in includes examples and templates, and the developer plans to continue introducing updates in the future.
