Spoilers alert.
Ballistic Moon
The rebuilt version of Until Dawn by Ballistic Moon is scheduled for release today. Its ending, which was leaked prior to the launch, suggests that the game might have a sequel released later. Keep reading if you are not afraid of spoilers!
A Reddit post first spotted by Eurogamer reveals two post-credit scenes hinting at the continuation of the main characters' story.
Ballistic Moon
The first scene shows Josh (portrayed by Rami Malek), who, unlike the original game, survives and remains human. He finds himself bleak and wounded, alone in the mines. However, a voiceover suggests that the character might find an opportunity to escape. "But it is a game that has driven you to one of your own deepest fears, Joshua. Isolation," Dr. Hill says. "I hope for your sake, Joshua, that you can find redemption."
This ending is entirely different from the original game, in which Josh either dies or turns into one of the horrible creatures, Wendigo.
Ballistic Moon
The second scene is dedicated to Sam (played by Hayden Panettiere), who is in Los Angeles several years after the events of the game's story. She cancels her ringing alarm clock and discovers a flow of blood on her arm. After that, she hears a knock at her door and a voice calling her name. It made her jump, suggesting that it could only be a hallucination. Sam apparently suffers from PTSD, with plenty of pill bottles on her bedside table.
The rebuilt version of Until Dawn by Ballistic Moon was announced in February and was proclaimed to feature improved graphics, character models, and lighting, along with an expanded storyline and new locations. In August, it received an "M" ESRB rating, similar to the original game released in 2015.
