3D Generalist and Technical Artist Nathan Borges continues to work on his impressive Houdini-based tool, showcasing its latest iteration with a new under-the-hood demo. Currently a work in progress, the tool allows users to procedurally model and texture cozy houses a then import them into other 3D software or game engines via Houdini Engine, making it ideal for game development and architectural visualization.
The latest showcase provided a closer look at the tool's texturing capabilities, demonstrating the artist setting up textures directly inside Houdini. The demo also highlighted the tool's other abilities including house shape generation, doors, roofs, and windows creation, options for adding flowerpots and scattered grass, multi-floor setups, wall imperfections, abilities to add resolution on geometry and open UVs, and more.
