Upgraded Maya Node Editor

Toby Lewin has recently shared his personal utility script that can upgrade the Maya Node Editor.

Toby Lewin has recently shared his personal utility script that can upgrade the Maya Node Editor. The script is said to a list of all the existing Shaders/Textures/Utility nodes in the scene for quick use inside the Node Editor. The best thing is that you can get the node for free.

Personal utility script to add a little more functionality to the Maya Node Editor. The script adds a list of all the existing Shaders/Textures/Utility nodes in the scene for quick and efficient access within the Node Editor.

There’s also a tool to rename shader networks. It renames the selected shader and automatically renames all connected file nodes with the correct suffix depending on their connection (eg myShader_glossiness)

Installation: Just copy and paste the python script into a Maya Script Editor Python tab.
