The company has pledged an annual €30,000 contribution to support Blender's development.
Chaos, the developer behind V-Ray, Corona, Vantage, and countless other digital art apps, has joined the club of open-source 3D software appreciators by joining Blender Foundation's Development Fund as a Corporate Gold sponsor.
Taking the partnership between Chaos and Blender to the next level, the company has committed to an annual €30,000 contribution to support Blender's development. It also joins a prestigious list of Blender's other Corporate Gold sponsors, which includes Meta, Wacom, Zeekr, Autotroph, BlenderKit, and Superhive, formerly known as Blender Market.
Interestingly, the announcement closely coincides with the launch of V-Ray 7 for Blender, the latest release that delivers all the essential tools for high-quality rendering, including built-in post-processing, a ready-to-use asset library, cloud rendering, and collaboration features.
V-Ray 7 for Blender is fully compatible with the latest version of Blender and introduces initial support for rendering Cycles materials, along with integration of Blender’s hair system. It also features the V-Ray Node Editor, allowing users to create, edit, and manage materials, textures, and geometries through a node-based workflow directly within Blender.
