Valkyrie Entertainment Joins the Sony Family

The studio will work on PlayStation Studios' exclusives.

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the acquisition of Seattle-based videogame developer Valkyrie Entertainment. The studio was founded back in 2002 and is primarily known as a support studio that has helped in the development of Infamous 2, Twisted Metal, 2018's God of War, and the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok. According to the announcement, Valkyrie Entertainment will be working on PlayStation Studios' exclusive games.

“Valkyrie Entertainment is a highly adaptable and respected studio which has produced high-quality work on a range of platforms from console to PC, and a variety of styles from action to games-as-a-service titles,” said Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios. “Valkyrie’s diverse capabilities will be welcomed by every team at PlayStation Studios as we continue to focus on delivering extraordinary gaming experiences.”
