Poncle, the developer behind Vampire Survivors, has revealed the highly anticipated Chilling Update, which will be released "in a few weeks" as the creator stated in the trailer.
A sneak peek into the upcoming update showed two new major features: the new Ultra Whiteout map, set amidst a snowy landscape. Alongside the snow, players can expect to see floating skulls and fierce-looking, snow-covered yowies. And another feature presented in the video is the new weapon, the Glass Fandango ("stronger with movement, Orologions, and against frozen enemies", as stated in the trailer).

In addition to those features, players can look forward to using the Antidote relic, offering the ability to purchase the Defang PowerUp; a captivating new character, named She-Moon, an enchantress, will be unlocked upon surviving Ultra Whiteout for 20 minutes.

Following the release of the trailer, Poncle took to Reddit and shared a post announcing the update, encouraging followers to join the discussion and share their thoughts.
"We'd love to hear your questions! We'll do our best to answer them and get through as many as possible," wrote the creator.
While the exact release date for the Chilling Update was not confirmed, it was mentioned that it would be within a few weeks from the trailer's posting on September 26. This update, labeled as version 1.7.0 of Vampire Survivors, follows the previous version 1.6 which introduced features, such as local co-op mode, the option to disable blood, font, and border customization, and the ability to integrate the game with Twitch (exclusive to Steam versions).
Some more news on the game, recently, as part of the Save And Sound video game music event, Poncle dropped a captivating 10-minute clip showcasing a recording of their beautifully orchestrated soundtrack. This was the first time that fans were treated to this immersive musical experience.
