This year, VIEW Conference, Italy's largest computer graphics conference, returns in October, bringing together top creative talent from around the world. With its carefully curated live program of talks, panels, screenings, in-depth workshops, and masterclasses, VIEW Conference welcomes its international audience to the beautiful city of Turin, Italy.
VIEW Conference 2025 hosts over 100 award-winning speakers, including the directors of this year's leading animated films and VFX supervisors from blockbuster movies and popular streaming shows. Attendees will also hear from experts across animation, AI, real-time rendering, video games, and other creative technologies.
Director Dean DeBlois and VFX Supervisor Christian Mänz will talk about the making of live-action How to Train Your Dragon, with Animation Supervisor Glen McIntosh joining for a special screening at Turin's Cinema Massimo. Madeline Sharafian and Domee Shi, Directors of Disney and Pixar's Elio, will speak, along with Alessandro Carloni, who will share behind-the-scenes insights on Warner Bros.' The Cat in the Hat, coming to theaters in February 2026.
Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, Directors of Netflix and Sony's KPop Demon Hunters, will give a presentation and introduce a sing-along screening at Cinema Massimo. Also featured are Director Pierre Perifel and VFX Supervisor Matt Baer discussing DreamWorks' The Bad Guys 2, along with Director Alex Woo, VFX Supervisor Nicky Lavender, and Head of Character Animation Sacha Kapijimanga, who will preview In Your Dreams, the upcoming animated feature from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, premiering in November 2025.
You will be able to join Industrial Light & Magic's VFX Supervisor Pablo Helman and Framestore's Animation Supervisor Dale Newton as they explore the visuals of Universal's Wicked and its sequel, Wicked: For Good, releasing November 21. Also featured is ILM's Senior Animation Supervisor Hal Hickel in ILM at 50: Half a Century of Imagination and Innovation in Visual Effects.
VFX Supervisor Ian Hunter and Pro Machina's Camille Balsamo-Gillis and Reid Collums will present on miniatures for Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps, while VFX Supervisor Daniele Bigi will discuss the film's retro-futuristic visuals. Continuing the practical theme, Simon Weisse will present a two-hour masterclass on designing miniature sets for Wes Anderson films, reflecting on his 30-year career as a Miniature Unit Supervisor and Props Designer.
But there's more: David Seager will explore Disney's TRON: Ares, David Vickery will break down Universal's Jurassic World: Rebirth, and Craig Hammack will present on Disney's live-action Lilo & Stitch. Ryan Tudhope will talk about Apple Original F1: The Movie, Framestore's Stephane Nazé will cover DC's Superman, and Michael Ralla will discuss Warner Bros' horror hit Sinners.
VIEW Conference 2025 will also feature VFX teams behind popular streaming series like HBO's The Penguin, Apple TV's The Studio, Netflix's Wednesday and The Sandman, HBO's Dune: Prophecy, Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and HBO's The Last of Us.
In addition to this, VIEW Conference 2025 welcomes other industry leaders such as Matt Buehler, Founder and CTO of 3D Content Specialists vrbn., Shane Valdez, CEO of Superfile, and Janet Lewin, Senior VP and Head of Industrial Light & Magic. Kris Pearn, Director of The Willoughbys, will lead a full-day workshop on storytelling, while photographer Asa Mathat will take participants on a walking photography workshop. For the first time at VIEW Conference, Sony Japan and Texas A&M University will transform a hall at OGR into a virtual production stage for a six-hour hands-on workshop exploring this cutting-edge technology. Other workshops include Kieran Belshaw's Creating the World of Game of Thrones, Michael Coldewey's concept art session, Sketching! Create the Line Before The Code, and Matt Buehler's The Purpose and Principles of Architecture. Pixar's Dylan Sisson will present Creating Stylized Worlds with RenderMan XPU, Alexis Wanneroy will lead animators in Acting Beats, Accents & Facial Connection, and Ted Ty will offer a four-hour workshop on advancing animation skills through observation and study.
Furthermore, Nate Fox, Creative Director at Sucker Punch Productions, will reveal the creative work behind Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, while Jan-Bart van Beek and Jochen Willemsen from Guerrilla Games present Creating a Family-Friendly Apocalypse, detailing the development of Lego Horizon Adventures, inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn.
