Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity
VR developer and publisher nDreams, known for such titles as Fracked, Phantom: Covert Ops, and Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, announced it has received a $35 million investment from the newly-formed Aonic Group. According to the studio, the funding will go towards producing "more ambitious titles" as well as expanding its team.
At the end of 2021, the company announced the opening of the nDreams Studio Orbital. Its employees are developing a new direction of games based on the games as a service (GaaS) distribution method with a subscription monetization model. In January 2022, the company established nDreams Studio Elevation, which will focus on creating high-end virtual reality games. nDreams also publishes games from other developers, the company's first publishing release will be Purple Yonder's Little Cities which will launch this spring.

nDreams CEO and co-founder Patrick O’Luanaigh described the deal as a "pivotal moment". "I'm delighted to have the support of Aonic, who share the same ambitious vision for the company that we do," O’Luanaigh commented. "As VR continues its trajectory towards becoming a truly mass-market technology, this is the rocket fuel needed to accelerate our rapid growth and take advantage of the many opportunities that continue to come our way."
Aonic Group's Paul Schempp added: "The nDreams team continue to impress with how far they are pushing VR. Seeing their plans and visions for the future blew us away, and we are excited to join them on their incredible journey."
