Watch How Zootopia 2 Was Made on Disney Animation's Website
The What We Do section has some fun footage.
Have you ever wanted to learn how big animation studios create their masterpieces? You can if you just visit the What We Do section on Disney Animation's site.
From Snow White, released in 1937, to the new Zootopia, the page has records of dozens of projects the studio has worked on. If you are an animator or just a movie fan, you must check it out.
In the Process section, you can see how Zootopia 2 and the company's other movies were made. There, you will find the sketches and early shots made for the film, in pencil and 3D. Disney Animation also shared some interesting facts about the whole workflow of the projects it creates: the idea, concepts, simulations, and more.

"The partnership between Art and Technology is behind the best of what we create. Through close working relationships between our artists and technologists, we develop groundbreaking tools and workflows that allow us to explore ways we can optimize the creation process."

When all is said and done, the art and assets created for the films are organized and archived "so the Walt Disney Animation Research Library can make them available to the entire Walt Disney Company for inspiration and reference."
