A new look at Picto.
Picto, an upcoming mobile game that combines reality with virtuality in AR, gets a new sneak peek at another mechanic. Its creator, Gustav Almström, showed how any blue parts of real objects in the camera turn into pixels that act like water in the game.
To help the tiny protagonist solve puzzles, you will need to find the right object and angle so that the pixels can flow where they're supposed to go.
The tech behind the project is truly fascinating and opens so many doors for creativity. You can interact with the character by sticking your hand into the camera view, and the game will solidify it.
The developer promises more features to come, like a level editor that allows you to make custom levels based on drawings.
If you want to turn Picto into reality, help the project on Kickstarter and try the demo out.
