Watch Star Destroyer Navigate Through A Physics-Driven Asteroid Belt In UE5

Micah Berninghausen demonstrated the power of Nanite.

Game Developer Micah Berninghausen, whose procedural interior generator we've featured in the past, is apparently now delving into Nanite-based destruction in Unreal Engine 5. He recently shared a video demonstrating his progress, which alone looks like something you can easily enjoy playing while waiting for stuff to compile.

This Star Wars-inspired demo is all Nanite and features a mix of 2K CPU static meshes and some Nanite GPU Niagara ones. Micah also mentioned that he's working with around 10-12 million instances in this scene. Watch the progress of this project through the videos below:
