Watch This Animated Music Video Created in Blender
Kyeong Hong Kim infused a part of his soul into the video.
Jump into the fascinating world of colorful animation with Kyeong Hong Kim's music video for cotoba's song called Sin.
The cartoonish story burst out from Kim's desire to be a director, and as a result, we received an abstract narrative full of hope and darkness, made with Blender and After Effects.

"I’ve always dreamed of becoming an animation director, but due to practical reasons, I spent many time working as a motion graphics designer instead. At some point, I realized I couldn't put it off any longer. Thankfully, I found a government funding program for animation production, which allowed me to dedicate the last 6 months to creating this music video entirely on my own," Kim shared on Reddit.

The painterly style was achieved by mixing hand-painted textures and shader nodes, and the camera work was split: "scenes emphasizing the painterly impression were done in After Effects, while scenes needing 3D depth were handled in Blender."
The creator might show the breakdown of the project soon, so visit Kim on Instagram to see it.
