Watch This Gorgeous 3D Fish Pond In The Rain

Paulo Schmidt showcased his latest project.

As the artist explained, he used Houdini's Ripple Solver to create the waves, along with a boids algorithm to control the fish, which were also generated procedurally in Houdini. All lighting, shading, rendering, and compositing were done in Blender, using just one HDR and a single spotlight for illumination. Paulo also used the Kuwahara filter in compositing, which, in his opinion, is what really carries the scene.
