Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan Expands to Six New Countries

The plan will now be available in Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sweden.

Xbox has announced that it's expanding its Game Pass Friends & Family plan to an additional six countries after the plan's initial pilot in Ireland and Columbia last year. Now, the plan will become available for Xbox players in Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sweden.

Game Pass Ultimate gives players access to hundreds of Xbox games as well as offers some perks including in-game content and partner offers, and more. With the Friends & Family plan, users are able to share the benefits of the Ultimate plan with up to four other players, even outside of users' households.

Each of the Friends & Family plan users also gets their own unique account with access to the Game Pass Ultimate library across Xbox, PC, and cloud.

However, those who plan to purchase the Friends & Family subscription should note that the membership can be shared only with people from the same country as the account holder.

In addition, if you transfer to this plan from the Ultimate subscription, the time remaining on your membership will be converted to a new membership based on a monetary value (for instance, if you have a full month of the Ultimate membership, this time will convert into 18 days for the Friends & Family plan). This conversion is, however, not available for invited group members.

Xbox also notes that members of the Xbox All Access plan cannot participate in the Friends & Family plan.
