Yellow Brick Games Offered First Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Action RPG

The studio's debut title will be the "ambitious new action RPG" in a fantasy setting that will be released on PC and the current generation console.

Yellow Brick Games, a studio led by several industry veterans including Dragon Age creator Mike Laidlaw, is working on its debut title that is referred to as an "ambitious new action RPG". The new game that is set in a fantasy world will come out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The studio hasn't revealed the exact release date yet, and apparently, it won't be launched until around the start of the 2024 financial year.

Recently, it was confirmed that Yellow Brick's debut game would be released by Private Division, Take-Two's subsidiary that published The Outer Worlds, and now the studio offered a sneak peek at the upcoming game providing two concept art images.

Executive Producer, COO, and co-founder of Yellow Brick Games Jeff Skalski also shared that the game will be powered by Unreal Engine 5 and invited the aspiring talent to join the team and take part in the development.

"We’ve made incredible progress thus far and feel fortunate to have such high caliber talent come together. Under the creative helm of Mike Laidlaw and armed with Unreal Engine 5, we are truly making magic come true every day," Skalski said. "If building a new fantasy action RPG within an environment of support and respect sounds interesting, please let us know. We’re always looking for other great talented gaming developers to join us on this journey."

At the moment, Yellow Brick Games' team has about 30 people, including veterans of BioWare and Ubisoft.
Besides, Private Division will provide Yellow Brick with additional funding and marketing, while the studio staff will fully focus on development.
