Private Division Announces Four New Publishing Deals

Take-Two's subsidiary, Private Division has signed four new partnership agreements. The signees include the former developers of Dragon Age and Sonic Mania.

The publishing label under Take-Two Interactive, Private Division, announced it has signed four new partnership agreements to publish new projects. The new signees include Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio, and Yellow Brick Games. 

Die Gute Fabrik is a Danish-based studio that focuses on developing story-based games. The studio is best known for its 2019’s IGF and Indiecade award-winning title, Mutazione, the small-town mutant soap opera. Die Gute Fabrik is now working on an unannounced story-driven game.

Evening Star is the studio that was founded by several key members of the Sonic Mania development team including Christian Whitehead, Dave Padilla, Tom Fry, Hunter Bridges, and Brad Flick. Under Private Division, it will be developing its debut title – a 3D action platformer.

Piccolo Studio, the creator behind Arise: A Simple Story, a narrative-heavy game with time-bending puzzles that was highly critically acclaimed, is currently creating a new IP in partnership with Private Division.

Finally, Yellow Brick Games is a studio headed by several industry veterans, including Mike Laidlaw who is best known for his work on the Dragon Age series. It’s working on a new action RPG that would be set in a fantasy world.

Private Division’s Head and Executive VP, Michael Worosz, shared: "At Private Division we champion the best creative talent in the games industry, and these four teams and the experiences that they are building represent an array of genres that will appeal to many different gaming audiences".

Private Division's partnership with the four studios follows the recent news of the company's acquisition of Roll7, the studio behind OlliOlli World.
