Unleash your creativity in DK Artist.
Donkey Kong Bananza Direct was full of pleasant surprises, but the one you might be most interested in is DK Artist, a mode that allows you to exercise your sculpting skills.
Using Nintendo Switch 2's mouse controls, you can shape, carve, smooth, and paint your favorite characters or come up with your own. And when you're done, change the lighting and add a cool banana effect for good measure.

Who needs ZBrush or Blender when you have DK Artist? Of course, the game mode is not that flexible, and the sculptures turn out a bit rough, as you can see in the video. But as a nice bonus for when you're tired of the main game, it's pretty nice. I'm looking forward to what fans create in it.

Donkey Kong Bananza will be released on July 17 for Switch 2. The long-awaited console was recently criticized for its outrageous decision to put the Welcome Tour, meant to showcase the handheld's features, behind a paywall. Moreover, if you want to 100% complete it, you'll need to spend over $100.
