A CG artist added a nice detail to the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer using Blender.
If you have never seen this Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, you won't find anything unusual in what the CG artist TaranStark showed the world.
The creator used Blender to put Wolverine's signature mask on Hugh Jackman, and it looks admirably realistic. So much that I (and many others) totally missed it before the video switched to the breakdown of the scenes. Fans of the hero will be happy to see it as the headwear won't appear much in the movie, it seems.

Aside from Blender, the creator used PFTrack to make the cowl follow the character and Nuke for composition.
TaranStark is a professional CG artist, so working on movies is a familiar task for him. First, he built a 3D model of the mask and textured it, then tracked the head movement, cleaned the result, removed the head, and put the cowl where the head used to be. Finally, animation and color correction followed the process.
TaranStark has also edited other trailers, which you can find on his YouTube channel.
