The device couldn't handle all those issues?
Gearbox
After its disastrous launch, far fewer people are waiting for Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2, but they will still be disappointed: Gearbox delayed the release indefinitely to "deliver the best possible experience to our fans," saying the game needs "additional development and polish time."
"Our hope is to also better align this release with the addition of cross saves, which we are working on and recognize is very important. We will update you all on the new release timing once we’ve fully adjusted our plans."
If you've already pre-ordered Borderlands 4, you'll get your money back after September 26, or you can initiate that process yourself now. Physical copies can be returned to the corresponding retailer.
Well, maybe it's a blessing in disguise: Switch players won't see the game in its current poor state. For PC players, Gearbox's CEO Randy Pitchford has a whole optimization instruction, and anyway. "Code your own engine and show us how it’s done," if you don't like it.
