Zerply Is Closing After 16 Years

The platform is closing in September, giving users until then to export their data and redirect their profile links.

Zerply

Zerply, a professional networking and portfolio platform, is closing after 16 years of service, including 12 years in high-end VFX and animation. The website will stop working on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 16:00 UTC.

The team concisely shared the sad news: "We ran out of time and resources to make it work. That's the whole story. We're sad to end it this way." The website creators also advised users to save their data if they used Zerply by following the steps below. First, click this link and request an export. You can choose whether to include your uploaded media assets. You will receive a download link by email when it's ready. The team noted that it's better to request an export by September 21, as the submissions are processed manually. Users can also download individual media assets directly from the Shot Library at any time before the 28th.

In addition, Zerply users can redirect their existing profile URL to another platform, such as LinkedIn, IMDb, Framerate, or Vimeo, so links shared on resumes, email signatures, or elsewhere keep working. The redirects will run for at least a year after the shutdown, but users need to set their preferred destination by September 28.

Once the site closes, Zerply.com will turn into a static page, and profile URLs will lead to whatever platform a user has picked. Zerply will delete user data from its systems and its providers' systems within 90 days of the shutdown.
