Mob Entertainment is an independent studio, founded in 2015, that turned a single survival-horror game into a full transmedia universe. Since Poppy Playtime's debut in 2020, the studio has expanded its abandoned toy-factory setting well beyond the original game, into animation, comics, merchandise, and a growing slate of collaborations, while staying independently run and remote-friendly worldwide.
The flagship Poppy Playtime franchise remains the core of the studio's world, a survival-horror series built around the toys of the Playtime Co factory who don't want their visitors to leave. Building on that foundation, Mob Entertainment is now developing Escape From Playtime, a new co-op survival-horror experience set in the same universe, where players step into the shoes of the Smiling Critters.
The Poppy Playtime universe has also crossed into some of gaming's biggest platforms, with an official collaboration bringing the toys into Minecraft alongside partner Spark Universe, and a presence in Fortnite, where Huggy Wuggy appears in the Item Shop alongside a dedicated Poppy Playtime experience, Escape Trials.
