NANOTINKER is an isometric 3D platformer from solo developer SPACE_NUGGET, planned for release on Steam in 2026. It blends classic platforming with environmental puzzles, and a demo is already available.
You play as Tim Tom, the best recruit at a company that promises to end death. His job is to shrink to nano size and travel through objects built like computer parts, collecting "soul shards" that can bring someone's mind back to life. As he goes deeper, it becomes clear that something about the project is not quite right.
The isometric camera is the heart of the game. It is locked to eight angles, so a level can look impossible or far too easy at first glance, and you have to study the whole space before you move. A grappling hook, a dash, a wrench, an x-ray mode and Escher-style layouts help you get around, while every action costs energy, so planning your route matters.
The game is built to be relaxed. You can't lose: it saves your last safe position, so you can try, fail and retry with no loading and no penalty. It also leaves room for your own solutions, including speedrunning routes and ways around a puzzle.
The art direction is abstract and cubic, with strong contrast and a different color scheme, mood and music in each level. The developer targets a steady 60 fps on a mid-range PC and plans Steam Deck testing.
