10 Great Party-Based RPGs Now Discounted On Steam

RPG fans, Steam's Party-Based RPG Fest is here, and that means there's never been a better time to embrace Sora's "My friends are my power" philosophy. Take control of multiple characters, level up your party, and set off on adventures filled with epic quests, daring heists, and plenty more.

The event runs from September 14 through 21, and we've put together a list of ten games currently on sale that are well worth checking out. Some are big, beloved titles you've probably heard everyone recommend a thousand times, while others may be a little less obvious. Either way, there are plenty of great deals to grab, so take a look at our picks below.

Baldur's Gate 3

We absolutely can't leave out Larian Studios' "pinnacle of the genre" RPG with record-breaking award success. Based on D&D, with plenty of freedom to enjoy when creating a character and playing, the game lets you recruit a cast of fully voiced companions that react to your choices, each with their own personalities, stories, and romance options. Even if you've never played BG3, you've probably seen people online obsessing over certain companions, so you already know how memorable they can be.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Sandfall Interactive's debut game became one of the biggest hits of 2025, and if you haven't checked it out yet, now might be the perfect time to see what all the hype is about. Get ready to explore a beautiful world inspired by the Belle Époque in this turn-based RPG with real-time combat mechanics, alongside six different characters.

Mewgenics

We can't ignore this year's hit from Edmund McMillen, the creator of The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy, either. The main idea is pretty crazy: you play as a cat lady brought back to life by a mad scientist, breed cats, give them different character classes, and send them on tactical battles across procedurally generated grids. The soundtrack goes hard.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition

It feels a little unfair to feature a Larian game twice on this list, but that's a very good game you can get at a very good discount. A sequel to the acclaimed Divinity: Original Sin, this RPG rewards creativity and makes experimentation fun. There are plenty of options when creating your character, and you can also customize the companions you recruit to better fit your playstyle.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

For CRPG fans, WotR is a great choice, though it can be a little complex at first. It gives you a huge amount of freedom when creating your character, thanks to the Pathfinder First Edition rules, and you can even choose a mythic path, becoming a celestial Angel, powerful Lich, raging Demon, or cunning Trickster. A cast of 12 unique companions is also there to join you on your adventure.

Wildermyth

This procedurally generated indie RPG might not look like much at first glance, but it's worth a closer look if you enjoy good storytelling. It starts simply: gather a small group of adventurers and set out to find the evil threatening the land. The story changes as you play, shaped by your heroes' random traits, relationships, and choices, making each adventure feel different. Characters can also mutate or gain elemental powers during the campaign.

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint

There are too many fantasy games on this list, so here's a cyberpunk RPG about mercenaries instead, which features stealth, base management, combat, hacking, heists, and black-market deals. And with over 40 multiclass combinations, weapon customization, and changing character traits, there are plenty of ways to build a crew ready to take on all kinds of jobs.

ASTLIBRA Revision

This is a pretty unique JRPG, created by a Solo Game Developer KEIZO over 16 years. You play as a nameless protagonist who travels across a dangerous continent with a talking crow and others. Along the way, he discovers a magical set of scales that lets him travel through time and space. If you're craving some old-school side-scrolling action, this could be right up your alley. 

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

If you've been meaning to get into Nihon Falcom's Trails series, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is a good place to start. It's a full remake of the original Trails in the Sky FC, with updated graphics, modern combat, and English voice acting for the first time. The story follows adoptive siblings Estelle Bright and Joshua as they search for their missing father, Cassius, and uncover a much bigger mystery along the way.

Dungeon Settlers

Still in Early Access, Dungeon Settlers could be described as RimWorld meets Darkest Dungeon. It's a "hardcore strategy" game that combines colony management with dungeon expedition. Train your characters by managing their gear, skills, and traits, then put together a party of up to four. Combat happens in real time with a pause option, so you can study enemy traits and patterns, plan your moves, and try to outsmart your enemies.
