3D Animator Kevin Temmer, the Lead Animator in the series The Amazing Digital Circus, shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at his work and a short breakdown of creating one of the animations for the show, explaining how he crafted a 2D-style setup in 3D.
As the artist shared, one of the challenges was to mimic the black outline, which needed to appear different in each frame. The creator praised the work of 2D animators and shared that imitating only a fraction of their work was rather time-consuming.
