3D Borzoi Dog Made With Maya and Houdini

This realistic model was made by Hayato Saito.

Senior CG Artist Hayato Saito has demonstrated a new recreation of a real-life animal made using Maya and Houdini. This time, the artist has produced a 3D model of a Borzoi dog, a breed of dogs used for wolf hunting, known for their long peculiar noses, that has been left alone for a month. According to the artist, the project is still WIP and will be further improved and finalized sometime in the future.

"I was wondering if I should put it out halfway with hair flow and decorations, but I don't think I'll touch it for the time being, so I added a mystery to the rig, and in the posing process, I tried simulating the hair. Someday, the animation will be cool. I want to have it attached and make it flutter," commented the creator.
