This week we would like to highlight another great environment demo by Scans Factory. The Industrial Factory portrays a walkthrough experience through a series of industrial abandoned buildings.

Explore abandoned industrial buildings in the middle of an urban district featuring large underground canals, where over 700 assets (including over 400 unique ones) were built based on the photogrammetry technique and properly optimized and hand-tweaked to work in real-time scenes on UE4 and UE5. The scene contains highly detailed objects like modular elevations, metal constructions, containers, drills, fences, loaders, and many more  providing ample creative freedom to craft abandoned, post-apocalyptic settings under both daylight and dark-overcast lighting scenarios.

"Working on the creation of the Industrial Factory was a real rollercoaster. We planned to create a large level with industrial abandoned buildings in the middle of an urban district, with a big underground sewage area. At the same time as the work was in progress, Nanite and Lumen appeared in Unreal Engine. To complete the new tasks related to this, we had to double our team. More elements to create and then propagate, and fill the scene with details that were never possible before. But was totally worth it!" stated Scans Factory.
