Capcom released its financial report for the last fiscal year, running from March 2025 to March 2026, recording net sales of 195,365 million yen ($1.24 billion), which is 15.2% higher than in the previous year, operating profit of 75,295 million yen ($477 million), up 14.5% year-on-year, and profit attributable to owners of the parent of 54,587 million yen ($346 million), up 12.7%.
The studio set new records in all profit categories for the 9th year in a row.
An interesting detail is that 93% of Capcom's sales are digital, driven by Resident Evil Requiem and Monster Hunter Wilds. Moreover, the company expects this number to reach 95.4% next year. It looks like we're close to a digital-only future, although the trend of not owning games might hinder the process. 7% is still 4 million units sold, which is a lot.
54.5% out of the 93% is PC games, which makes Capcom CEO's belief that PC will be the world's leading platform more tangible.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, Capcom anticipates net sales of 210,000 million yen ($1.33 billion) and operating profit of 83,000 million yen ($526 million), "which would result in ten consecutive years of record high profit at all levels and twelve consecutive years of 10% or better operating profit growth."
