A Preview for Rain.Water 2.2 Released

OfNodesAndNoodles teased the upcoming update to the Rain.Water Blender plug-in.

CG Artist and Blender enthusiasts known as OfNodesAndNoodles released several new demos that showcase the upcoming 2.2 version of Rain.Water, the artist's renowned set of shader nodes that can create fully procedural water and rain effects from simple geometry without using particle systems, fluid simulations, or Geometry Nodes.

The newly-released demos show the add-on's capabilities in regards to realism, as well as the versatility of the plug-in by demonstrating how the upcoming 2.2 version of it will be able to use Water Plane and pass the interaction between separate objects to the shaders to create the water effects nearly automatically. According to the creator, the goal right now is to fix several bugs before the update is officially released.
