A Procedurally Animated Isopod Made in Unreal Engine

The developer of Webbed Riley Neville has demonstrated a cool UE-powered project.

Game Developer Riley Neville, known primarily for developing Webbed, a great 2D platformer with impressive web mechanics, has unveiled a new project which, much like the aforementioned game, also revolves around a cute bug. This time, the developer has made a procedurally animated 3D isopod that is shown to be able to run around and roll like Sonic from old SEGA games. According to the developer, this adorable crustacean was made in Unreal Engine.

The author also showed an improved version of the project with a super narrow depth of field to make it tiny. "I just used the unreal cine camera and made the aperture setting really small," commented Riley.
